1. Purpose

This page defines the terms of use for the voice system offered by Fidjoo exclusively for generating personalized audio stories (hereinafter the "Voice System").

These terms apply in addition to Fidjoo's General Terms of Use (GTU) and Privacy Policy.

In case of conflict, these specific terms prevail for everything concerning voice.

2. Voice System Description

The Voice System allows a parent user to:

• voluntarily record audio content (adult voice only),
• to enable the generation of personalized audio stories for their child,
• exclusively within the Fidjoo environment.

How It Works

The System works according to the following steps:

• The user records an audio narration via the Fidjoo app.
• This recording is processed securely and confidentially.
• The voice is transmitted to a specialized third-party technical provider (Cartesia) solely for audio generation.
• A final audio file is generated and returned to the user in the Fidjoo app.

3. Exclusive Purpose and Usage Limitation

The voice provided by the user:

• is used solely for generating Fidjoo audio stories,
• is never made public,
• is never shared with other users,
• is never used for commercial, advertising, or marketing purposes,
• is never reused outside the strict context of Fidjoo stories.

4. Confidentiality and Security

Fidjoo applies strict technical and organizational measures to ensure:

• complete confidentiality of voice recordings,
• access strictly limited to only necessary systems,
• secure storage on servers located in Europe,
• no disclosure or access by unauthorized third parties.

5. Third-Party Provider: Cartesia

For the technical needs of audio generation, Fidjoo uses the provider Cartesia.

In this context:

• the voice is transmitted solely for the technical execution of the service,
• Cartesia acts as a subcontractor within the meaning of GDPR,
• Cartesia is not authorized to reuse the voice for its own purposes.

6. Voice Data Retention

• Voice recordings are not permanently stored.
• Once the voice is deleted, no usable trace is retained by Fidjoo.

7. Voice Deletion (Right to Erasure)

The user can delete their voice at any time, without justification:

• directly from the Fidjoo app,
• or via the following link: https://fidjoo.com/delete

Upon deletion:

• The voice is deleted from Fidjoo systems.
• All technical references are erased.
• The voice is also deleted from Cartesia.
• No copy is retained by Fidjoo or its providers.

8. Consent and Responsibility

Recording a voice implies:

• explicit and voluntary consent from the user,
• a guarantee that the user is the owner of the recorded voice,
• a commitment not to use a third party's voice without their express authorization.

9. GDPR Rights

In accordance with GDPR, the user has the following rights regarding their voice:

• right of access,
• right of rectification,
• right to erasure,
• right to restriction of processing,
• right to object.

10. Voice System Evolution

Fidjoo reserves the right to evolve, suspend, or modify the Voice System for technical, legal, or security reasons.

In case of substantial modification, users will be informed by notification or email.

11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by French law.

Any dispute shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Paris courts.
